Fun in Moab 2025
We recently returned from another unforgettable family trip to Moab, Utah — and it delivered on every adventure we could have hoped for!

The first highlight of the trip was getting to see our niece, Megan, who had just arrived in western Colorado for her summer internship. It was such a treat to catch up and share some belly laughs with a cousin.

Ellie and I kicked off the trip with a canyoneering adventure that took us deep into one of Moab’s stunning canyons. With two rappels down the sandstone walls, it was both breathtaking and thrilling—definitely a memory we’ll be talking about for years.

While we were navigating cliffs and ropes, Brian and Jackson were off on their own wild ride: a Jeep tour that took them through Moab’s rugged terrain, including a rolling ride through Mickey’s Bathtub. Judging by the smiles (and the dirt), they had just as much fun off-roading as we did rappelling.

We balanced our active days with some amazing meals—everything from Thai Bellas to Doughbird’s comfort food and Canyon Pizza Co.’s tasty slices. Moab never disappoints when it comes to refueling after a long day.

In the evenings, we took two sunset hikes into Arches National Park. Exploring more of the park as the sun dipped below the red rock horizon made for some truly magical moments—and some amazing photos.

And of course, no trip would be complete without at least one epic tale: what was supposed to be a green (easy) mountain bike trail turned out to ride more like a double black diamond. We survived—but let’s just say we earned our rest that day. A go pro may be in my future tech upgrade as I’m a little disappointed I could’t take my hands off my bike to record us moving down the trail.

To beat the afternoon heat, we made the most of the campground pool and cooled off in the camper with an afternoon movie. Sometimes a little downtime is the best adventure of all.
We’re incredibly grateful to be able to return to Moab and create new memories together —this time with even bigger adventures. Until next time, red rocks and blue skies!
