First Day of Eleventh Grade — Junior Year

First Day of Sixth Grade – First Year of Middle School

 

And just like that, we’re starting another school year at Rapid City Christian! This year looks a little different for everyone. Ellie is officially a junior and has become the new morning commute driver, which still feels a little crazy to say. She is excited about her Forensic Science class, has dual enrolled for college credit in General Psychology, signed up to be the Cross Country manager again, and is hoping to train for a few indoor track meets. Meanwhile, Jackson is heading into 6th grade and his first year of middle school. He already knows the hallways pretty well after spending so much time out there for Ellie, so at least that part isn’t too intimidating. He’s looking forward to 6th grade band and is pulling toward percussion, and he’s also considering giving middle school boys tennis a try this spring.

And there’s a little change for Mom this year, too! I started a new part-time Director of Marketing position at RCCS, which means I’ll be around school on the days I pop in to work. So while I’m there to do my job, I’m also pretty excited about getting a few bonus Mom hugs along the way. ❤️ It’s a new season for all of us, and we’re thankful to be starting it together.
