First Day of School 2025

First Day of Tenth Grade — Sophomore Year

 

Sophomore year is here! Ellie officially starts her second year of high school at Rapid City Christian, and this year she is officially driving herself to school. 😳 Somehow that feels like a pretty big deal!

For her first day, she is wearing one of those retro outfits we thrifted over the summer, which feels very Ellie and makes for a pretty fun first-day look. It’s hard to believe how quickly these school years are flying by. It feels like just yesterday we were taking kindergarten pictures, and now she’s driving herself to high school. Slow down, time!

Another school year begins, and we are thankful for the opportunity to watch this girl grow, learn, and become more independent with each year.

First Day of Fifth Grade – Last Year of Grade School

 

A week after Ellie starts school, it’s Jackson’s turn! And this is a pretty big one because he is officially rocking into his last year of Grade School — 5th grade!

Of course, we have to celebrate with First Day of School Donuts. 🍩 It has become a little tradition around here, and this year they feel a little extra special knowing this is Jackson’s last first day of grade school.

It’s hard to believe the little boy who was so excited about volcanoes and everything else elementary school had to offer is now the big kid of the grade school. Time really does fly. We are soaking up this last year and all the little moments that come with it.
