Dirt Bikes in November
Here it is mid November and what else is there to do on a beautiful afternoon? Well, get the dirt bikes out of course. After church we all loaded up and headed out to our favorite playground just south of Farmingdale to the Railroad Buttes off roading area.
First things first is to always get the kids riding hot laps. On his second lap out, Jackson’s rear tire was looking a little low, which was weird because Brian had just filled all tires before we left. Upon closer examination Brian found the culprit and pulled out a screw.
This did dampen spirits a bit as the kids both knew they were going to have to share Ellie’s 110. Good thing the pack wagon was along so Jackson was happy to drive his mom around.
After we got to another area, Brian invited Ellie to jump on his bike and she was brave enough to do so. Starting and stopping required some catching from Brian but you could see her confidence grow after about 10 laps.
This also meant that Jackson would bump up in size, not to mention speed. It didn’t seem to scare him as much as it did me and he also gained more confidence in riding a bit larger bike.
It was a beautiful day to be out watching our kiddos enjoy life. After the stresses of the summer it was exactly what Brian needed.
