Halloween 2023

Last year we didn’t participate in Halloween activities. It was just a busy time for everyone and pumpkin carving didn’t work out. I didn’t feel like getting creative with costumes, and Halloween was on a weekday. It was a tough call but we enjoyed eating some pizza and watching the Addam’s Family.

This year, Halloween was also on a weekday, so again, we didn’t do much. It just makes it tough with going to school the next day, plus it was the first day that Jackson could try jujitsu, we didn’t need the candy, Brian had a meeting, the dogs bark like crazy…..all signs pointed toward not participating again this year.

I did capture this shot of the kids together in their Jiu-Jitsu Gis, which is close enough for having a costume for this year.

No Tricks….just Take Downs!

By far the cutest though is having two wiener dogs in hot dog costumes. We actually had them out all month long on walks wearing these things. It made for the best laugh-filled moments with Ellie as we walked along.

Because….we have to!

The Annual Carve

But we did find some time to gather with the Baker’s for our annual pumpkin carving. Its always fun to get together with them for this activity. As the years have gone by, the adults have increasingly become less and less active in the carving.

Not certain what this is?
Great time with great friends!
Ah…teenagers. We were remembering when they were so little….
