Halloween 2021
Some years Halloween sneaks up on us and we feel like our creative juices are exhausted. From browsing Pinterest feeds of past, Jackson remembered that he wanted to be a Hot Dog Vendor, so when I saw the a hot dog costume in Target I felt a little relieved to not have to make two costumes. The next step was convincing Ellie to be the hot dog. Luckily she found it to be funny and agreed.
Since Ellie’s Hot Dog costume was off the shelf, we just needed to find a yellow long sleeve shirt and some black leggings….check, one done. For Jackson’s Hot Dog vendor we grabbed a button up shirt from his closet and built from there making a red apron with custom graphics, a tie, To top it off, I found a free patter for a 40’s style garrison cap. They looked great!
It had been a few years since we ventured to the Pumpkin Patch north of Spearfish so we thought we would give it a go again this year. It was such a fun and relaxing afternoon.
Pumpkin Carving
Because our schedules got away from us last year and the annual Baker + Bickett pumpkin carving didn’t happen, we made a point to reach out and get a carving date on the schedule. It was hilarious to pull up into the Baker’s driveway to see that Sam had chosen the same Hot Dog costume that Ellie did. Fun was had by all as usual.
