Disco Dance with Dad

It didn’t work out last spring for Brian to take Ellie to a Daddy Daughter Dance, and it kinda broke her heart. So when the dance studio Ellie use to dance at was planning a Daddy Daughter Dance as a dance team fund raiser, Brian was pretty quick to jump on getting tickets.

Ellie ready in her Disco dress and flipped out hair.

We went shopping for a new dress, which is always fun for a mom and daughter to do. The theme of the dance was DISCO and this orange dress she picked fit in nicely. She also chose the classic flip out curl for her hair and dug through Mom’s jewelry to find something that fit. She was so excited to wear dangly earrings.

They had a fun time. Thanks to a family friend who was there, we have this video memory that will be cherished for years to come.

Ready for a Movie Date Night with Jackson.
The movie is about to start.

We had a new theatre open up in town that included a full menu delivered to your seat and reclining chairs, so Jackson and I decided to make it a Movie Date night. We ordered way too much food and settled in to watch Sonic the Hedgehog, which was actually pretty good. Jackson’s favorite part was riding the reclining chairs up and down and eating french fries at the movie.

It always warms my heart to see how much our kids love to spend one-on-one time with us. Sometimes this gets lost in the everyday hustle and bustle, so I am thankful when days like these come along.
