Dancing the Night Away with Dad
It is that time of year again, and since last years dance was so much fun, Brian wanted to take Ellie to the Father/Daughter dance again this year. Ellie already had this beautiful gown from her Blue Fairy Halloween Costume last year, still a bit big, but she loves it and wanted to wear it to the dance.
Of course we had to make her hair as curly as we could and paint her nails, but the most exciting part for Ellie was that she got to wear her new high heals, something she has been waiting FOREVER for.
We didn’t make this year’s dance a surprise but that didn’t keep Ellie from being SO excited for a few weeks. She just couldn’t wait for the Daddy/Daughter dance. She wanted to make sure to show me the decorations and said there were GIANT Hershey Kisses! They ate, got their picture taken, played games and of course, did the Chicken dance. When I asked her what her favorite part was, she said she had so much fun she couldn’t decide. What a wonderful memory!
And back at home, there was a boy and a mom who rushed out to buy a new movie (since there wasn’t any good titles at the theatres). We grabbed some fast food on the way home and ate ice cream while we played with a new truck and watched the movie. Life is good!
