Christmas 2017

As Christmas approached as usual this year, we had to determine our holiday travel plans. Since all of the Bickett’s recently landed together at Steve and Melanie’s out in Seattle for Thanksgiving, and Darby and Jody planning to stay put in Sioux Falls, we knew Upton wouldn’t quite be the same.  It seemed to be a good year to travel to Gillette for our dual there and then invite Grandma Mary to our home for a quite little Christmas.

We all enjoyed swimming with Grandpa, Grandma, Dad and cousins.

Christmas Eve at Home

We don’t ever really decorate much during the Christmas Season because we usually are not home, and we didn’t have a huge feast of prime rib, turkey or ham. Never the less, it was a wonderful Christmas. For the first time we were able to celebrate Christ’s birth at our Church’s Christmas Eve Candle Light service and jump up out of our own beds to see what Santa brought us. Plus we had to prepare for the biggest gift of all — the puppy!

Grandma Mary had fun watching the kids open their presents.
