Halloween 2017

After having a Cars birthday party, I was pretty certain Jackson would want to be Lightning McQueen. When I asked him what he wanted to be, his response was “red, I want to be red for halloween”. Thinking he meant a red crayon, I was certain that was the direction our costumes would take. Then it was Ellie’s turn to weigh in. She wanted to be a Blue Fairy. Not certain what kind of Blue Fairy, we did a simple Pinterest search and she settled on the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio. After Jackson got a peek of some of the images he asked me “Mom, can you make me P-nokio”. Why yes my son, I can!

Ellie loved being a beautiful Blue Fairy
Jackson’s got no strings to hold him down.
Ahhh….the memories are priceless.

Of course, with Ellie and Jackson’s enthusiasm, they wanted us to join in. So Brian became Geppetto and I, Jiminy Cricket. All together, we looked great!

Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

This year we were fortunate enough to have a weekend to take in the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze just north of Spearfish. We didn’t know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised with all of the activities there were to take part in. We were able to get lost in some corn stalks, ride a train and find the perfect pumpkins to take home and carve. We only wish it was a bit warmer so we could stay longer.

Jackson was excited to see a tractor at the pumpkin patch.

Everybody say PUMPKIN!

Pumpkin Carving

We look forward to gathering with the Baker’s every year to carve our pumpkins. Ellie and Sam were super active and made some great pumpkins. And as always, all of the kids had a blast dressing up in their costumes and running around for a bit.
