Memorial Camp 2016

IMG_0207-3Guest post written by Stephanie Sandstrom.

I’ve learned that you can never depend on Memorial Day weather, but you can always depend on family. You can depend on them to bring the fun, the snacks, the jokes and the shenanigans. You can also depend on a few of them to teach the little ones bad habits, and show the rest of us how to relax a little and laugh a lot about the extra layer of Black Hills mud. You can count on them to keep the into-the-night tradition alive and “get to know” the camp staff well before the last log is put on the fire on the second night.

They all seemed to bring their happy faces this year.

The Activities

You can depend on the Evenson’s to take full advantage of the sunny days and make due with fun in the mud on the rainy ones. This year’s camping adventure brought family from near and far to Mouth Rushmore KOA at Palmer Gulch. Take a look at a few of the activities we caught on camera!

When these 27 relatives get together, there’s no telling what will happen. Who forgot the mustaches?

The One Man Band Entertains All

We almost had the whole crew with us this year. For those who didn’t make it, we missed you and hope you’ll set aside Memorial Day Weekend 2017 and join us! Thanks to everyone who made the trip! The Bickett Gang always enjoys your company.

*Not pictured are the 12 rolls of toilet paper that decorated one unlocked camper. Thanks for always being a good sport, Sally!
