She’s Sew Happy
I didn’t figure it would be long before this girl got the itch to stitch and this mama couldn’t be any more proud of her. You can see in the video below that she was ecstatic to be sewing on, not only a REAL sewing machine, but HER REAL sewing machine. Now if I could only loose the Grandma Myrna in me she wouldn’t have to take out so many stitches.
We decided her first project would be two mini rag quilts that would go on her doll bunk bed. Of course this post would have come sooner but as true as any quilter knows, you can’t finish a project in one day. It might even have to become a UFO (unfinished object) before you get around to actually finishing it. Here you can watch her finish up sewing the squares into rows and how much she has improved in such a short amount of time.
And look how cozy they are once they are clipped, washed, and placed on a warm bed ready for a good snuggle. I think Puppy Girl and Julie will enjoy them and I can’t wait to see what she wants to sew up next!
