Easy Bakes It
I thought we would be able to squeak through our parenting days without having to endure the Easy Bake but someone in my family thought that Ellie needed her own oven, even though she is only four and the box says for ages 8 and up. We thought it might have been payback for a skateboard that we gifted a few years ago.
She did a great job mostly by herself and only slightly burnt a finger when pulling out the hot pan. I’m not certain if they put such a high age recommendation on it due to the hot pan caution or if it is because a four year old doesn’t have the patients it takes for the 20 minute pre-heat.
Having never had one myself, I must say that I am impressed at how well they have seemed to compact the art of baking. It seemed like only a few table spoons of mix and water were suppose to make a dozen cookies. Now that I think of it, I guess there was nowhere in the directions that said they were meant to be for Barbie and her friends. Ellie was able to make four small cookies.
All in all, she was super excited and now the oven has found a good resting spot up in her closet waiting for that next rainy day, and I was the one who was stuck cleaning up the dishes.
