And She’s Off

Ellie has come to yet another milestone. Just this spring, she started to take off on her Stryder balance bike enough that she was coasting with her feet up all the way down the hill in front of our house. Brian thought we had better get her peddling on a big bike this summer if she was going to be on a dirt bike by the age of five like he was. So, off we went to find a new bike and it didn’t take long before she was riding circles around the driveway. She still needs to learn how to start and stop by herself and I am pretty certain she doesn’t even know there are breaks yet.

There were a couple small spills and it was amazing to see the determination in her eyes. Brian was a fantastic teacher and I have already nominated him to teach her how to drive when it is time — you know, in just a few short years, but first, that dirt bike.
