Halloween 2013
I believe it was the day after her CinderEllie party when I asked what she wanted to be for Halloween this year, which may have been a small mistake, because she expected me to run straight down to my sewing machine and make her a mermaid tail, right then and there, at 8:00pm. It took about a week to shift her attention and convince her that we had a few months before Halloween, but when it was time to sew her a costume, she was so excited. I am sure this will be one of the few costumes that doesn’t get tucked away in the Halloween box since it is about the only princess costume she doesn’t have.
Harvest Festival
We didn’t want our little mermaid to freeze to death so we decided to take part in her preschool’s Harvest Festival this year. I have never seen so many kiddos in costume all running after candy. It was fun and Ellie like to be in her costume with her new school friends.
B&B Annual Pumpkin Carving
On a bit of a quieter side, we were able to dine on some pizza and carve pumpkins with the Bakers again this year. Even though Sam and Ellie were too busy playing and left the carving to their Dads, we are still so glad it has become a ritual with our families and know someday that the little ones will appreciate the memories just as much as we do.
