It has been three summers now since we planted them, and only one since we had to replace one of them, so it was uncertain if we would get any at all. I believe we started with a count of 20 pears growing between the two trees and throughout the summer we would go out and recount with a dwindling number. They all fell off of the newest tree leaving us with 10 or 11 pears to pick this year with about only eight being edible. Not a very big bushel, but exciting none the less. We hope the cold doesn’t get the blossoms next year so we can watch them grow again.
