Spearfish Park in the Fall

So every year in the fall it seems we try to capitalize on every bit of outside time we can get. A great outing in the Black Hills that we love is a trip through Spearfish Canyon as the leaves are changing. The last few years have just been a peaceful drive with some nap taking along the way. This year we added a picnic in the park and took in the fish hatchery before our scenic drive. As you can see from these pictures, our family photographer must have fell asleep before we even got to the canyon.

Don’t mind the election sticker. We don’t really endorse that candidate. We just happened to get to Spearfish right as their Homecoming parade was starting — what kid doesn’t love stickers and candy.
