Pre-Holiday Happenings
Now that Ellie is a bit older she has been able to partake on some fun and festive holiday happenings – of course we still pack an abundance of diapers, crackers and sippies to accommodate our time away from home.
We were invited to join Dusty, Kate, Bevan and Reese on a train ride to the North Pole. It was an exciting time filled with hot chocolate, sugar cookies, candy canes, warm hearts and fond smiles. Ellie just loved the train and jumping around in her seat (I think the sugar cookie helped with that part a bit). After the train we all returned home to a hot pot of chili. It was great to visit and catch up with the D-K-Evenson family. The funnest part was watching the three little ones build their cousin bond.
Since our first Christmas together, we have gone out and chopped down a tree. The last couple of years have been challenging, but we still went out and brought home a tree. This year was fun! Ellie was able to get out and about in the bit of snow that we had and leave her boot prints. She even helped carry the tree to the truck and help us decorate it once we got home. It is going to be great to watch her put her ornaments on the tree each year.
Here are more pictures of each event. Enjoy!!!
