Mom & Babe Fly to Arizona
It came that time of year again and I had to get out of the blistering cold. So I was Arizona bound once more, only this time I had a travel companion. Ellie made her first excursion to the valley of the sun and we did just great. The flight getting out of town was a late one, plus it was delayed, so once we got up in the air, Ellie crashed in my lap until the plan stopped at the gate. That is when she chimed in that she wasn’t too happy.
We packed along the car seat which we soon found out isn’t the perfect fit for sport cars, but we made do just fine. You’ll see in the picture slideshow below that we found a contraption to strap her to the chair to eat and a thing called a pea-pod, which was like her own little pop tent, to sleep in.
We had such a great time and as always it was a pretty busy week. We made a trip to the Phoenix Zoo with my good friend Carrie. We took three freeways up to have a wonderful lunch with Auntie Carol, Uncle Raymond, Ann, Mike, Emily and Avery at Ann’s house up in Anthem. We went for lots of walks with Lu-Lu, took a couple of dips in the pool and of course, we went shopping!
I always love going to visit Aunt Sherri. Even if we do much of the same every year, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. And now I have Ellie hooked on going again for sure!
